Background:

Zinc finger and BTB domain-containing protein 5 (ZBTB5) is a Krüppel like zinc finger transcription repressor containing a POZ domain. ZBTB5 is expressed in retinoblastoma and muscle cancer tissues. ZBTB5 is a potent transcription repressor of cell cycle arrest gene p21 and a potential proto-oncogene stimulating cell proliferation. ZBTB5 may regulate transcriptional repression through chromatin remodeling and histone deacetylation (Koh D. et al., 2009, JBC 284:19856).

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human ZBTB5. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
