Background:

Homeobox protein SIX homeobox 3 (SIX3) belongs to the SIX/Sine oculis homeobox family. SIX3 is crucial in embryonic development by providing necessary instructions for the formation of the forebrain and eye development. SIX3 is a transcription factor that binds to DNA, and it regulates the activities of other protein factors, such as WNT1 and PAX6. Defects in SIX3 are the cause of holoprosencephaly type 2 (HPE2).

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human SIX3. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
