Background:

Tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 22 (PTPN22) belongs to the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family, non-receptor class 4 subfamily. PTPN22 may play a role in regulating the function of Cbl and its associated protein kinases. PTPN22 also acts as a negative regulator of T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. PTPN22 dephosphorylates and inactivates the SRC family kinases. Defects in PTPN22 are a cause of susceptibility to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

Other Names:

Tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 22, Hematopoietic cell protein-tyrosine phosphatase 70Z-PEP, Lymphoid phosphatase, LyP, PEST-domain phosphatase, PEP, PTPN8

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human PTPN22. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.

Species Specificity:

Human

Tested Applications:

WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*)

*: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
