Background:

STAT2 is signal transducer and activator of transcription that mediates signaling by type I IFNs. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STAT2 and other STAT family members are phosphorylated by the receptor associated kinases and then form homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the cell nucleus where they act as transcription activators.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human STAT2. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
