R1178-2 - SKIL (C) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted | Observed MW: 77 | 70-80 kDa Uniprot ID: P12757
Background: Ski-like protein (SKIL) is also known as SNO, which is a component of the SMAD pathway, which regulates cell growth and differentiation through transforming growth factor-beta (TGFB). In the absence of ligand, SKIL binds to the promoter region of TGFB-responsive genes and recruits a nuclear repressor complex. TGFB signaling causes SMAD3 to enter the nucleus and degrade SKIL, allowing these genes to be activated. Five different isoforms resulting from alternative splicing have been found for the SKIL gene, including SNON, SNOA, SNON2, SNOI and isoform 5. Other Names: Ski-like protein, Ski-related oncogene, Ski-related protein, SNO, SKIL Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human SKIL. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human, Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: Fig 1. Western blot of total cell extracts from mouse brain; using anti-SKIL (C) (R1178-2) at RT for 2 h. Multiple bands may represent SKIL isoforms. |
