R1822-1 - OPTN (N) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted I Observed M.W.: 66 kDa Uniprot ID: Q96CV9 Background: Optineurin (OPTN) plays an important role in the maintenance of the Golgi complex, in membrane trafficking, in exocytosis, through its interaction with myosin VI and Rab8. OPTN links myosin VI to the Golgi complex and plays an important role in Golgi ribbon formation. OPTN negatively regulates the induction of IFNB in response to RNA virus infection. Additionally, OPTN plays a neuroprotective role in the eye and optic nerve. OPTN is also probably part of the TNF-alpha signaling pathway that can shift the equilibrium toward induction of cell death. OPTN may act by regulating membrane trafficking and cellular morphogenesis via a complex that contains Rab8 and hungtingtin (HD), and it also may constitute a cellular target for adenovirus E3 14.7, an inhibitor of TNF-alpha functions, thereby affecting cell death. Other Names: Optineurin, E3-14.7K-interacting protein, FIP-2, Huntingtin yeast partner L, Huntingtin-interacting protein 7, HIP-7, Huntingtin-interacting protein L, NEMO-related protein, Optic neuropathy-inducing protein, Transcription factor IIIA-interacting protein, TFIIIA-IntP, FIP2, GLC1E, HIP7, HYPL, NRP Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human OPTN. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human, Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
