R0830-1 - AXIN1 (N) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted | Observed MW: 96 kDa Uniprot ID: O15169 Background: Axin-1 is a component of the beta-catenin destruction complex required for regulating CTNNB1 levels through phosphorylation and ubiquitination, and modulating Wnt-signaling. AXIN1 controls dorsoventral patterning via two opposing effects; down-regulates CTNNB1 to inhibit the Wnt signaling pathway and ventralize embryos, but also dorsalizes embryos by activating a Wnt-independent JNK signaling pathway. In Wnt signaling, AXIN1 probably facilitates the phosphorylation of CTNNB1 and APC by GSK3B. AXIN1 is likely to function as a tumor suppressor. AXIN1 facilitates the phosphorylation of TP53 by HIPK2 upon ultraviolet irradiation. AXIN1 enhances TGF-beta signaling by recruiting the RNF111 E3 ubiquitin ligase and promoting the degradation of inhibitory SMAD7. AXIN1 is also component of the AXIN1-HIPK2-TP53 complex which controls cell growth, apoptosis and development. Other Names: Axin-1, Axis inhibition protein 1, hAxin, AXIN Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human AXIN1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human, Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: Fig 1. Western blot of total cell extracts from(A) mouse thymus, (B) human HeLa, (C) human Jurkat; using anti-AXIN1 (N) (R0830-1) at RT for 2 h.
