Background:

DDB2 is essential for the repair of ultraviolet light-damaged DNA.  DDB2 is the smaller subunit of a heterodimeric protein complex that participates in nucleotide excision repair, and DDB2 is required for DNA binding.  Mutations in the Ddb2 gene cause xeroderma pigmentosum complementation group E and high predisposition for skin cancer development.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human DDB2. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
