Background:

Netrin receptor UNC5C is a receptor for netrin required for axon guidance. UNC5C mediates axon repulsion of neuronal growth cones in the developing nervous system upon ligand binding. Axon repulsion in growth cones may be caused by its association with DCC that may trigger signaling for repulsion. UNC5C is also involved in corticospinal tract axon guidance independently of DCC. It also acts as a dependence receptor required for apoptosis induction when not associated with netrin ligand.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the middle region of human UNC5C. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
