Background:

Protein unc-5 homolog B (UNC5B) is a single-pass type I membrane protein associated with lipid raft. UNC5B is a receptor for netrin required for axon guidance. UNC5B mediates axon repulsion of neuronal growth cones in the developing nervous system upon ligand binding, which may be triggered by its association with DCC. UNC5B is also required for apoptosis induction by activating DAPK1 when not associated with the netrin ligand. UNC5B has been shown to be down-regulated in multiple cancers including colorectal, breast, ovary, uterus, stomach, lung, or kidney cancers.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the middle region of human UNC5B. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
