Background:

RNF6, E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase RNF6, mediates 'Lys-48'-linked polyubiquitination of LIMK1 and its subsequent targeting to the proteasome for degradation. RNF6 negatively regulates axonal outgrowth through regulation of the LIMK1 turnover. RNF6 mediates 'Lys-6' and 'Lys-27'-linked polyubiquitination of AR/androgen receptor thereby modulating its transcriptional activity. RNF6 may also bind DNA and function as a transcriptional regulator. Defects in RNF6 may be a cause of esophageal cancer.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of RNF6. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
