Background:

Protein arginine methyltransferase 7 (PRMT7) can catalyze the formation of both omega-N monomethylarginine (MMA) and symmetrical dimethylarginine (sDMA), with a preference for the formation of MMA.  It mediates the formation of sDMA of arginine residues in the small nuclear ribonucleoproteins Sm D1 and Sm D3 and of histone H4 ‘Arg-3’.  PRMT7 is also thought to play a role in gene imprinting.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human PRMT7.  Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
