R2308-1 - HMGB2 (M) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted I Observed M.W.: 24 kDa Uniprot ID: P26583 Background: High mobility group protein B2 (HMGB2) is a nuclear protein that belongs to the HMGB family. HMGB2 contains 2 HMG box DNA-binding domains, and it can bind to chromatin and has the ability to bend DNA. HMGB2 binds preferentially to single-stranded DNA, and is involved in V(D)J recombination by acting as a cofactor of the RAG complex. HMGB2 acts by stimulating cleavage and RAG protein binding at the 23 bp spacer of conserved recombination signal sequences (RSS). Other Names: High mobility group protein B2, High mobility group protein 2, HMG-2, HMG2 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing middle region of human HMGB2. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human, Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: Fig 1. Western blot of total cell extracts from(A) mouse thymus, (B) human Jurkat; using anti-HMGB2 (M) (R2308-1) at RT for 2 h.
