R1381-2 - SOX17 (C) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted | Observed MW: 44 kDa Uniprot ID: Q9H6I2 Background: Transcription factor SOX17 is a nuclear protein that contains a HMG box DNA-binding domain and a Sox C-terminal domain. SOX17 acts as transcription regulator that binds to the sequences 5'-AACAAT-'3 or 5'-AACAAAG-3' in target promoter DNA and bends the DNA. SOX17 inhibits WNT signaling by modulating transcriptional regulation via WNT3A. SOX17 also promotes degradation of activated CTNNB1. SOX17 plays a key role in the regulation of embryonic development, and is required for normal looping of the embryonic heart tube and normal development of the definitive gut endoderm. Defects in SOX17 are the cause of vesicoureteral reflux type 3 (VUR3). Other Names: Transcription factor SOX-17 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human SOX17. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Species Specificity: Human Product Data: Fig 1. Western blot of total cell extracts from(A) human Jurkat, (B) human HeLa; using anti-SOX17 (C) (R1381-2) at RT for 2 h. |
