R2289-2 - EPHA5 (C) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted | Observed MW: 115 (h), 97 (m) kDa Uniprot ID: P54756 Background: Ephrin type-A receptor 5 (EPHA5) belongs to the ephrin receptor subfamily of the protein-tyrosine kinase family. EPH and EPH-related receptors have been implicated in mediating developmental events, particularly in the nervous system. Receptors in the EPH subfamily typically have a single kinase domain and an extracellular region containing a Cys-rich domain and 2 fibronectin type III repeats. The ephrin receptors are divided into 2 groups based on the similarity of their extracellular domain sequences and their affinities for binding ephrin-A and ephrin-B ligands. EPHA5 preferentially binds to the ephrin-A ligands. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene [provided by RefSeq]. Other Names: Ephrin type-A receptor 5, Brain-specific kinase, EPH homology kinase 1, EHK-1, EPH-like kinase 7, EK7, hEK7, BSK, EHK1, HEK7, TYRO4, CEK7 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human EPHA5. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human, Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: Fig 1. Western blot of total cell extracts from(A) mouse brain, (B) mouse thymus, (C) human HeLa, (D) human Jurkat; using anti-EPHA5 (C) (R2289-2) at RT for 2 h. |
