Background:

Holliday junction recognition protein (HJURP) is a centromeric protein that plays a central role in the incorporation and maintenance of histone H3-like variant CENPA at centromeres. HJURP acts as a specific chaperone for CENPA and is required for the incorporation of newly synthesized CENPA molecules into nucleosomes at replicated centromeres. HJURP directly binds to Holliday junctions, and prevents CENPA-H4 tetramerization as well as premature DNA binding by the CENPA-H4 tetramer.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human HJURP. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
