Background:

Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 4 (CCL4) is a monokine with inflammatory and chemokinetic properties.  CCL4 has the capability to bind the chemokine receptor CCR5, and it is one of the major HIV-suppressive factors produced by CD8+ T-cells.  Recombinant CCL4 induces a dose-dependent inhibition of different strains of HIV-1, HIV-2 and SIV.  The processed form of CCL4 retains the abilities to induce down-modulation of the surface expression of CCR5 and to inhibit the CCR5-mediated entry of HIV-1 in T-cells.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of mouse CCL4.  Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
