Background:

CNOT6 is Poly(A) nuclease with 3'-5' RNase activity. CNOT6 is the catalytic component of the CCR4-NOT complex which is one of the major cellular mRNA deadenylases and is linked to various cellular processes including bulk mRNA degradation, miRNA-mediated repression, translational repression during translational initiation and general transcription regulation. CNOT6 is involved in mRNA decay mediated by the major-protein-coding determinant of instability (mCRD) of the FOS gene in the cytoplasm. In the presence of ZNF335, CNOT6 enhances ligand-dependent transcriptional activity of nuclear hormone receptors, including RARA. CNOT6 mediates cell proliferation and cell survival and prevents cellular senescence.

Other Names:

CCR4-NOT transcription complex subunit 6, CCR4 carbon catabolite repression 4-like, Carbon catabolite repressor protein 4 homolog, Cytoplasmic deadenylase

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing N-terminal region of human CNOT6.  Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.

Species Specificity:

Human, Mouse

Tested Applications:

WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*)

*: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
