Background:

Lipoma-preferred partner (LPP) is a member of a subfamily of LIM domain proteins that are characterized by an N-terminal proline rich region and three C-terminal LIM domains. LPP localizes to the cell periphery in focal adhesions and may be involved in cell-cell adhesion and cell motility. This protein also shuttles through the nucleus and may function as a transcriptional co-activator. The LPP gene is located at the junction of certain disease related chromosomal translocations which result in the expression of chimeric proteins that may promote tumor growth [provided by RefSeq].

Other Names:

Lipoma-preferred partner, LIM domain-containing preferred translocation partner in lipoma

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the middle region of human LPP. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.

Species Specificity:

Human, Mouse

Tested Applications:

WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*)

*: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
