Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB, IP Predicted | Observed MW: 61 kDa Uniprot ID: Q9NXV6 Background: CDKN2A-interacting protein (CDKN2AIP) is also known as Collaborator of ARF (CARF), which can activate ARF-dependent and -independent p53 functions. CDKN2AIP interacts not only with ARF but also with p53 and HDM2, and thereby executes a new feedback loop in p53 pathway. CDKN2AIP also regulates HDM2 by its transcriptional repressor function. It has been demonstrated that CDKN2AIP is vital for senescence of normal human fibroblasts. Whereas the overexpression of CDKN2AIP induces premature senescence, its suppression leads to genomic instability and apoptosis.
