Background:

Hairy and enhancer of split 7 (HES7) is a nuclear protein that contains 1 bHLH (basic helix-loop-helix) domain. HES7 is a transcriptional repressor that represses transcription from both N box- and E box-containing promoters. HES7 may cooperatively regulate somite formation in the presomitic mesoderm (PSM) with HES1. HES7 may also function as a segmentation clock, which is essential for coordinated somite segmentation.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the middle region of human HES7. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
