R1371-1 - SOX3 (N) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted I Observed M.W.: 45 kDa Uniprot ID: P41225 Background: Transcription factor SOX-3 (SOX3) is a transcription factor required during the formation of the hypothalamo-pituitary axis. SOX3 may function as a switch in neuronal development. SOX3 keeps neural cells undifferentiated by counteracting the activity of proneural proteins and suppresses neuronal differentiation. SOX3 is also required within the pharyngeal epithelia for craniofacial morphogenesis. SOX3 controls a genetic switch in male development. Additionally, SOX3 is necessary for initiating male sex determination by directing the development of supporting cell precursors (pre-Sertoli cells) as Sertoli rather than granulosa cells. Other Names: Transcription factor SOX-3 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human SOX3. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: Fig 1. Western blot of total cell extractsfrom human HeLa, using anti-SOX3 (N) (R1371-1) at RT for 2 h. |
