R0664-1 - SPN (N) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted I Observed M.W.: 40 I 130 kDa Uniprot ID: P16150 Background: Sialophorin (SPN) is a single-pass type I membrane protein and one of the major glycoproteins of thymocytes and T lymphocytes. SPN plays a role in the physicochemical properties of the T-cell surface. SPN presents carbohydrate ligands to selectins. SPN has an extended rodlike structure that could protrude above the glycocalyx of the cell and allow multiple glycan chains to be accessible for binding. SPN is a counter-receptor for SN/Siglec-1. During T-cell activation, SPN is actively removed from the T-cell-APC (antigen-presenting cell) contact site, thus suggesting a negative regulatory role in adaptive immune response. Other Names: Leukosialin, Galactoglycoprotein, GALGP, Leukocyte sialoglycoprotein, Sialophorin, CD43 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human SPN. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: Fig 1. Western blot of total cell extractsfrom A) human HeLa, B) human Jurkat; using anti-SPN (N) (R0664-1) at RT for 2 h. |
