Background:

Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (KDR) is a single-pass type I membrane protein belonging to the protein kinase superfamily, the Tyr protein kinase family, and the CSF-1/PDGF receptor subfamily. KDR is a tyrosine-protein kinase that acts as a cell-surface receptor for VEGFA, VEGFC and VEGFD. KDR plays an essential role in the regulation of angiogenesis, vascular development, vascular permeability, and embryonic hematopoiesis. Additionally, KDR promotes proliferation, survival, migration and differentiation of endothelial cells.

Other Names:

Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2, FLK1, VEGFR2, Fetal liver kinase 1, FLK-1, Kinase insert domain receptor, KDR, Protein-tyrosine kinase receptor flk-1, CD309

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human KDR. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.

Species Specificity:

Human, Mouse

Tested Applications:

WB: 1:500-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*)

*: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
