Background:

SET and MYND domain containing 3 (SMYD3) is a histone methyltransferase that specifically methylates ‘Lys-4’ of histone H3.  It induces di- and tri-methylation but not mono-methylation.  SMYD3 is involved in transcriptional regulation as a member of a RNA polymerase complex.  It binds DNA sequences 5’-CCCTCC-3’ or 5’GAGGGG-3’.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the middle region of human SMYD3.  Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
