Background:

Homeobox-only protein (HOPX) is a homeodomain protein that lacks certain conserved residues required for DNA binding. It was reported that choriocarcinoma cell lines and tissues failed to express HOPX, which suggested the possible involvement of hOPX in malignant conversion of placental trophoblasts. Studies in mice suggest that HOPX may interact with serum response factor (SRF) and modulate SRF-dependent cardiac-specific gene expression and cardiac development.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of mouse HOPX. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
