Background:

Serine/threonine-protein kinase 24 (STK24) belongs to the protein kinase superfamily, the STE Ser/Thr protein kinase family, and the STE20 subfamily. STK24 is a serine/threonine-protein kinase that acts on both serine and threonine residues and promotes apoptosis in response to stress stimuli and caspase activation. STK24 mediates oxidative-stress-induced cell death by modulating phosphorylation of JNK1-JNK2 (MAPK8 and MAPK9), p38 (MAPK11, MAPK12, MAPK13 and MAPK14) during oxidative stress.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human STK24. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
