Background:

Heparin-binding growth factor 1 (FGF1) belongs to the fibroblast growth factor family, which are mitogenic and promote cell survival.  This family of proteins is also involved in embryonic development, cell growth, tissue repair, morphogenesis, tumor growth and invasion.  FGF1 functions as an angiogenic factor and a mitogen to regulate cell migration, proliferation and organogenesis.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of mouse FGF1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
