Background:

WRN (Werner syndrome ATP-dependent helicase) is a magnesium and ATP-dependent DNA-helicase.  WRN also has the 3’ to 5’ exonuclease activity towards double-stranded DNA with 5’-overhang, but not single-stranded DNA or blunt-ended double stranded DNA.  WRN plays an important role in the dissociation of joint DNA molecules and the formation of DNA replication focal centers.  Defects in WRN causes Werner syndrome.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human WRN. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
