Background:

TP63 is a member of the p53 family of transcription factors. It acts as a sequence specific DNA binding transcriptional activator or repressor. There are multiple isoforms of TP63, which contain a varying set of transactivation and inhibitory domains; thus showing isoform-specific activities. TP63 plays a role in the regulation of epithelial morphogenesis, and is required for limb formation from the apical ectodermal ridge. Mutations in TP63 are associated with ectodermal dysplasia, and cleft lip/palate syndrome 3 (EEC3); split-hand/foot malformation 4 (SHFM4); ankyloblepharon-ectodermal defects-cleft lip/palate; ADULT syndrome (acro-dermato-ungual-lacrimal-tooth); limb-mammary syndrome; Rap-Hodgkin syndrome (RHS) and orofacial cleft 8.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human TP63. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.

Species Specificity:

Human

Tested Applications:

WB: 1:1,000-1:5,000 (detect endogenous protein*)

*: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
