Background:

THO complex subunit 5 homolog (THOC5) is a component of the THO subcomplex of the TREX complex. The TREX complex specifically associates with spliced mRNA but not unspliced pre-mRNA. The TREX complex is essential for the export of Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) intronless mRNAs and infectious virus production. THOC5 may be involved in the differentiation of granulocytes and adipocytes. It is essential for hematopoietic primitive cell survival and plays an integral role in monocytic development.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the middle region of human THOC5. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
