Background:

TOPORS functions as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase and an E3 SUMO1-protein ligase. It is a probable tumor suppressor involved in cell growth, cell proliferation and apoptosis. TOPORS regulates p53/TP53 stability through ubiquitin-dependent degradation. It may regulate chromatin modification through sumoylation of several chromatin modification-associated proteins. It may be involved in DNA damage-induced cell death through IKBKE sumoylation. Defects in TOPORS are the cause of retinitis pigmentosa type 31 (RP31).

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human TOPORS. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
