R1188-1 - SOS2 (M) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted | Observed MW: 153 | 180 kDa Uniprot ID: Q07890 Background: Son of Sevenless (SOS) was discovered in Drosophila melanogaster. SOS has two human homologues, SOS1 and SOS2. SOS proteins are guanine-nucleotide releasing factor that can promote the exchange of Ras-bound GDP by GTP to activate Ras in response to growth factor stimulation. SOS proteins also appear to serve as a guanine nucleotide exchanger for Rac and, thus, may be involved in cytoskeleton reorganization. SOS proteins may be recruited to different cellular locations through interactions with the adaptor proteins Grb2 and E3b1. Other Names: Son of sevenless homolog 2, SOS-2 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the middle region of human SOS2. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human Tested Applications: WB: 1:500-1:2,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: Fig 1. Western blot of total cell extracts from human HeLa, using (A) Ab (R1188-1) and (B) Ab (R1188-2) at RT for 2 h. |
