Background:

SMARCAL1 is a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins.  It is an ATP-dependent annealing helicase that catalyzes the rewinding of the stably unwound DNA.  It rewinds single-stranded DNA bubbles that are stably bound by replication protein A.  SMARCAL1 works to re-anneal stably unwound DNA throughout the genome, essentially performing the opposite reaction of enzymes that unwind DNA, such as helicases and polymerases.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human SMARCAL1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition: 

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 40% Glycerol, 100 ug/ml BSA,  0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
