R0451-3 - MBD4 (C) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted I Observed M.W.: 66 kDa Uniprot ID: O95243 Background: Methyl-CpG-binding domain protein 4 (MBD4) is a nuclear protein containing 1 MBD (methyl-CpG-binding) domain. MBD4 was first identified as a methyl-CpG-binding protein. It was demonstrated later that MBD4 is a mismatch-specific DNA N-glycosylase involved in DNA repair. MBD4 has thymine glycosylase activity and is specific for G:T mismatches within methylated and unmethylated CpG sites. MBD4 can also remove uracil or 5-fluorouracil in G:U mismatches, while it does not have lyase activity. Other Names: Methyl-CpG-binding domain protein 4, Methyl-CpG-binding endonuclease 1, Methyl-CpG-binding protein MBD4, Mismatch-specific DNA N-glycosylase, MED1 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human MBD4. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human, Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
