Background:

PDK4 is a member of the PDK/BCKDK protein kinase family.  PDK4 inhibits the mitochondrial pyruvate dehydrogenase complex by phosphorylation of the E1 alpha subunite, thus contributing to the regulation of glucose metabolism.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the middle region of human PDK4. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
