Background:

Protein inhibitor of activated STAT protein gamma (PIASy) functions as an E3 small ubiquitin-like modifier (SUMO) ligase, stabilizing the interaction between UBE2I and the substrate, and as a SUMO-tethering factor.  PIASy functions as a transcriptional co-regulator in numerous cellular pathways, including the STAT pathway, the p53 pathway and the Wnt pathway.  PIASy is also involved in gene silencing.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human PIASy. Antibodies were purified by Caprylic Acid- Ammonium Sulfate precipitation. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 40% Glycerol, 0.02% Thimerosal. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
