Background:

Cadherin 1 type 1, E-cadherin (CDH1) is a calcium dependent cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein that preferentially interacts with itself in a hemophilic manner connecting cells.  The protein contains five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region and a highly conserved cytoplasmic tail.  Mutations in this gene have been implicated in gastric, breast, colorectal, thyroid and ovarian cancer.  Loss of function is thought to contribute to progression in cancer by increasing proliferation, invasion, and/or metastasis.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human CDH1.  Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
