Background:

Interleukin 4 (IL4) is a pleiotropic cytokine produced by activated T cells.  It participates in several B-cell activation processes as well as of other cell types.  It induces the expression of class II MHC molecules on resting B-cells.  IL4 is the ligand for interleukin 4 receptor which can also bind IL13.  IL4 is a costimulator of DNA-synthesis.  It enhances secretion and cell surface expression of IgE and IgG1.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human IL4. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
