R2697-2 - POU5F1 (N2) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB Predicted I Observed M.W.: 39 I 48 kDa Uniprot ID: Q01860
Background: POU5F1, POU domain class 5 transcription factor 1, plays a role in embryonic development, especially during early embryogenesis, and it is necessary for embryonic stem cell pluripotency. POU5F1 binds to the octamer motif (5'-ATTTGCAT-3'). POU5F1 forms a trimeric complex with SOX2 on DNA and controls the expression of a number of genes involved in embryonic development such as YES1, FGF4, UTF1 and ZFP206. POUF1 is highly expressed in undifferentiated embryonic stem cells and expression decreases gradually after embryoid body (EB) formation. Other Names: Octamer-binding protein 3, Octamer-binding protein 4, Octamer-binding transcription factor 3, OCT3, OCT4, OTF3, MGC22487 Source and Purity: Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human POU5F1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. Storage Buffer and Condition: Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt. Species Specificity: Human, Mouse Tested Applications: WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*) *: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications. Product Data: Fig 1. Western blot of total cell extracts from mousebrain, using 2 independent Abs against 2 distinct regions of human POU5F1 [A: anti-POU5F1 (N2) (R2697-2); B: anti-POU5F1 (C1) (R2697-3)] at RT for 2 h.
