Background:

CDK16 is a protein kinase that plays a role in vesicle-mediated transport processes and exocytosis. CDK16 regulates GH1 release by brain neurons. CDK16 also phosphorylates NSF, and thereby regulates NSF oligomerisation. CDK16 is required for normal spermatogenesis. CDK16 regulates neuron differentiation and dendrite development. CDK16 plays a role in the regulation of insulin secretion in response to changes in blood glucose levels. CDK16 is detected in brain and pancreas.

Other Names:

Cell division protein kinase 16, PCTAIRE-motif protein kinase 1, Serine/threonine-protein kinase PCTAIRE-1, PCTK1, PCTGAIRE, PCTAIRE1, PCTAIRE, FLJ16665

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of mouse CDK16. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.

Species Specificity:

Human, Mouse

Tested Applications:

WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*)

*: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
